General Orthopedics for Dogs

The surgeons at the Animal Care Center will ensure that your pet will receive the surgical stabilization they need to return to a normal pain-free activity level.

When a dog tears or ruptures a ligament, it is a serious injury that requires immediate veterinary attention. If left untreated, the damage to the ligament can cause ongoing pain and mobility issues. In some cases, surgery may be required to repair the ligament.

Pet Digital X-Rays & Ultrasound

We use cutting-edge technology to ensure that your pet receives the best possible veterinarian care. Our team at the Animal Care Center is well-trained to collect test results swiftly so that we can identify and treat your pet’s ailment.

At Animal Care Center Montana, we offer digital X-ray services for pets. This type of X-ray produces high-quality images that can be easily shared with other veterinarians and specialists. Digital X-rays also allow us to get a more detailed look at the internal structure of your pet’s bones and organs. In addition, digital X-rays emit less radiation than traditional X-rays, making them safer for both pets and owners. If your pet needs X-ray services, our hospital is equipped to provide the care they need.

pet laser therapy

Pet Laser Therapy

Here at Animal Care Center Montana, we offer laser therapy as a treatment option for a variety of conditions. Laser therapy is a painless, noninvasive way to provide relief for your pet. The laser energy stimulates the cells to produce more ATP, which leads to faster cell turnover and healing. Laser therapy can be used to treat conditions such as arthritis, joint pain, acute and chronic injuries, and more. If you think laser therapy might be a good option for your pet, please give us a call and we would be happy to discuss it with you further. Thank you for entrusting us with your animal’s care!

PennHIP Screening

PennHIP Screening

Canine hip dysplasia is the most commonly inherited orthopedic disease and can lead to hip arthritis, which is painful and has no medical or surgical cure. Thankfully, we now have a research-based hip screening procedure called PennHIP, which has been proven to be the most accurate method to measure hip laxity! This screening can be done for dogs as early as 16 weeks of age by a PennHIP-trained veterinarian (Dr. Uffelman!) by taking a series of three X-rays and using a custom distraction device. Early detection, prevention, and intervention of canine hip dysplasia are all critical to helping your pet maintain a high quality of life. Whether your dog is a family pet, a breeding dog, or a working dog, the PennHIP screening is an invaluable tool to understand and proactively manage their health and well-being.
